My last words:
If you haven't noticed
the scars on my hips,
the fake, plastered smile on my lips
Or the lies I tell through my teeth
Or the way I'm constantly asleep.
If you haven't noticed
the light leave my eyes,
or the forced laugh I've practiced.
the sound of my cry at night,
the way my body has lost all fight.
If you haven't noticed the fact that
I'm no longer me,
but rather a shell of what I used to be.
Then don't you dare cry.
Don't you dare say "She seemed so happy."
Don't you dare pretend to miss me.
How could you possibly miss someone
you never even knew?
If you haven't noticed
the scars on my hips,
the fake, plastered smile on my lips
Or the lies I tell through my teeth
Or the way I'm constantly asleep.
If you haven't noticed
the light leave my eyes,
or the forced laugh I've practiced.
the sound of my cry at night,
the way my body has lost all fight.
If you haven't noticed the fact that
I'm no longer me,
but rather a shell of what I used to be.
Then don't you dare cry.
Don't you dare say "She seemed so happy."
Don't you dare pretend to miss me.
How could you possibly miss someone
you never even knew?

The Words That Never Come
How many bones must I swallow,
how many ghosts must I drink,
before the taste of you recedes
with the tide’s heartbeat – cruel and brutal –
pounding cobwebs against the shores of our memories?
The moonlight washes your footprints away,
and I am left alone – standing in the wake of your storm –
waiting, waiting, waiting
for the words I need the most – the words that never come.

Pain.
I wish away another day
And look upon a foggy day
Mist around to block my way
Keep me down under my pain
The screams of sorrow
And whispers of pain
I wish that this would go away
And let me fly away
To wish to have my pain at ease
But that is not likely to be seen
To bare my pain and sorrow here
You must first face worst
And when worst comes first
You wont here a single cry of pain
Except that one you share with the world
Now its here to take you away
Its here to drag you to the dark
And have you left in the chamber of fate
But when that fate comes around
You will wake up and then
Expect me to come and say
"I told you so"

Shades of Blue, Tears for You
Hazy blues fill my eyes. The bloom shimmers in front of me in the shaded light. How I longed to pluck it, but I didn't dare ruin its beauty. I had heard of a sacred flower, petals of velvety smooth, fragrance like ambrosia to the senses. It is fabled to take your memories if you touch it, imprinting it, keeping it for all eternity. The price for such a gift, the double edged sword, crux of it all, is you will lose those memories. Your mind will be a blank slate. No memories to treasure, trouble,to comfort you in your darkest hour. How I longed to caress the blossom, to immortalize my love for you. But in that same touch, in that same breat
